Problem hasn’t happened since. It seems to have been an issue a few months ago, prior to that it worked fine. No game updates download though, and webpages fail to load. Life is great with WIN 10 now. I have to assume Win10 changed something to cause the problem. Bizarrely the connection seems to partially work.

Most morning on starting the PC I have no internet connection even though the modem is connected to the internet and all other devices in the house are able to connect. I understand your inconvenience.

As far as I recall it has something to do with energy management.

This site uses cookies. I had the same problem about a year ago. Even in the Steam app, store pages fail to load. No, create an account now. I also did a virus check, definitely nothing. I have to assume Win10 changed something to cause the problem. I find that windows 10 generally has an issue picking the correct driver. Steam signs in and I get updates on what my friends are doing.

Every now and then it would fail to load correctly on bootup. JanJetten Replied on February 1, Dump all the Drivers and redo them. Microsoft said it wasn’t a problem because it wasn’t their problem.

I have the same problem. The intel page says that the tool is only for Windows Vista, 7 and 8 though. Modem is on, all lights are one but pc shows no connection. In reply to Cyraga’s post on August 8, Click on Check for Hardware Changes, reactivates network connection and all is well at this point. I did however forgot the solution. I’ve only used the computer times for intrl bursts getting my things set-up again.

Some geospatial data on this website is provided by geonames. That’s like blaming Windows 10 for an Intel update that messes up the OS. Painful and, I would have thought, a fault that should have been fixed long ago.
