This is where the counterfeiters seem to put the most effort, color differences seem to be the main differences but otherwise it’s hard to tell from the exterior. A prospective buyer would look at the product page, why not put a link on each product page that says “Beware of Fake TaylorMade Products” and link that to a anit-counterfitting page that actually gives people detailed information on who to buy from, how to spot a fake and what to do if you have one.
Why not send out press releases galore about the issue? If they are selling fakes, whether they know it or not, I certainly would like to know who they are so I can avoid them.

Expert editorial reviews, breaking golf tour and industry news, what to play, how to play and where to play.
I’d like to see taylormxde counterfeit club warning on every single golf club listing with updated info on how to spot fakes and known sellers of fakes.
The way it’s painted may look sloppy. From all the homework I’ve done on this and all the eBay postings I’ve looked at.

taylorjade But make no mistake, just because they look good, they will not have the same playing attributes as the real deal. Thought I should put a warning out to anyone thinking of scoring a good deal on eBay. Registration is eby, simple and absolutely free. Look closely at every printed detail and how high it’s printed on the shaft, I noticed several discrepancies here.
Taylormade and their resellers could only stand to benefit from this. May smell funny because they are made of recycled inferior rubber and the grooves may overlap or run together where they’re not supposed to. This seems to be the weakest part of the counterfeits I’ve seen, seems like they don’t put much effort into getting the grips right.

Finally, their serial number system is practically pointless. In fact by screaming about the problem instead of being subtle they would educate their consumers about how to avoid fakes do them a tremendous service.
And is it printed on the surface or engraved into the metal?
On the supply side, work with trade sites like TradeKey and Alibaba to shut down the distribution channels. Both sellers had excellent feedback, which I think is a testament to how good the fakes are! TM is the worst when it comes to counterfeits, it seems they dont even care.

These clubs look almost perfect and the only way you can really spot the fake is if you hold it side by side with a real one. Pressure Chinese ODM’s to rigourously search out and enforce design patents, etc. I would guess that the majority of people buying CGBs on eBay probably have fakes mas don’t even know it.
