Alesis tech support is supposed to be getting back to me with a solution, but it could be next week now before I hear anything, I got an email from the last night saying a tech would contact me in 24 to 72 hours not counting weekends and of course this is one of those really long weekends. The firmware update itself. I only wish I knew this myself, before I was ‘stuck’ with an Alesis product. There’s definitely Windows x64 drivers for the Firewire Multimix ‘cos I’m using them, and that’s a discontinued product. Reaper 64 bit Alesis Multimix 8 and Firewire.

It sound like it’s a known issue in the doc. I assume that you have only plugged the PC into only one of the firewire and not both?

Alesis finally replies, not with good news. Hi, alesix years later. Send a private message to Slaptop. This is a little confusing, as there are numerous scenarios laid out and the precedure varies. As if all these problems are my fault for buying a new computer, because my old one was too slow to use their mixer.
I would have thought that they should still have worked with Win 8. I have a MiltiMix12 FireWire. Not an IT pro?

Please update your driver from the link to suppot tirewire on Windows 7. Wednesday, October 7, 2: So I installed Windows 7 64 bit in hopes that alssis frequent audio dropouts would go away. Maybe it just got it wrong. Must have hired someone with a dose of common sense mixed into their DNA. Read the page on the link above Clearly Alesis are not going to help.

Still, despite the dropouts I am back in business! I have the same question Show 0 Likes 0. You will also see that I cannot select the sample rate in the audio hardware setup panel, the sample rate is stuck on zero. Maybe this fireaire on the Alesis forums might help getting it sorted. I finally got a reply, by figewire, from Alesis today, note this first that it was at their suggestion I upgraded to Win 7, because they told me it would not have any of the problems Vista had and would solve the driver issues all by itself.
Haven’t received registration validation E-mail? I have never run into another company that doesn’t have most drivers out before the OS release. Reaper 64 bit Alesis Multimix 8 and Firewire.
If you can still return the product, I would strongly recommend that you do. Community-powered support for Alesis. I even tried the 32 bit version of Reaper with no luck either, So Multijix need some help, in as non technical lingo as possible please, if you know anything that could help me.
